Sometimes actions speak so much louder than words…

Here are my Top 5 revenge tactics to annoy those housemates who just beg to be annoyed.

1) Soyled: Sam drinks Soy milk and everyone else drinks normal milk, so every now and then I leave the soy milk out so it starts to go off, then put it back in the fridge and my favourite housemate can never work out why it always seems to go off.

2) WifoFum: Sam uses wifi to connect to our internet connection from his laptop in his bedroom or the couch, so now and then I log into our wifi router from the safety of my bedroom, and turn on the MAC address filter so it blocks out unknown computers. Our computers are on the list of known computers so arent impacted, but his isnt, so he loses all internet, complains about how his computer is stuffed, and a few hours later after he has tried calling everyone he knows, I turn the MAC filter off so his computer can see the internet again.

3) ShowerFreeZone: I get up 2 hours before Sam each work day and leave just before he does, so I have my normal nice long shower, then now and then turn off the hot water system so it fills back up with nice cold water which isnt heated. An hour or so later about 5 mintues before he gets up for work and is ready for his shower, I re-light the hot water system, and he can never work out why he has no cold water for a shower as the hot water system seems to be working just fine for everyone else an hour ago, and is lit when he checks it.

4) CoolZone: Just before leaving for work on a lovely cool winter’s day when you know your housemate is home all day, make sure the house is nice and warm so they know for sure the heating is working. Then turn off the power to the central heating, but leave the pilot light lit. The house quickly cools, and my housemate can never work out why. He checks the pilot light, but doesnt know to check the power cord is plugged in as it is hidden in a different area to the pilot light.

5) SaveTheTrees: Its funny how when we are close to running out of toiletpaper, running out always seems to coincide with just before Sam awakes before work…5 minutes befoe I leave for work! Especially funny when Sam is responsible for buying the toilet paper that week so has noone to blame except himself.

Ok so Sam tells me he has a good friend of his staying, with her husband …at our house. He didn’t ask if this was ok (as per usual), I was just told. He did however say they’d sleep in his room and he’d sleep in the lounge room… aaah hello?? What difference does that make??? Someone would still be sleeping in the lounge room, making it out of bounds for me!
I sucked that up thinking they’d only be staying the weekend… But boy oh boy…. I was WRONG!
They didnt stay 2, 3 or 4 days…. they stayed 7 DAYS! And the most insane part…. they stayed in the house for 98% of the time (that is not an exaggeration!), the 3 of them in the lounge room, with the door closed all day and night watching TV! Firstly who goes interstate and stays at someones house all day watching tv? And secondly, what if I actually wanted to use the tv myself?? Argh… and then there’s the bills – I’m effectively paying for them to live at my house?? Hmmm… seems fair…NOT!
Sam is oficially a selfish idiot and they are freeloaders…
Some people honeslty have no idea about manners!
At the very least they could have given me a box of chocolates LOL!

lets see if anything has changed since 2007:

1: when your male housemate takes your clothes out of the washing machine to put his in and puts all your clothes into the clothes dryer as he just assumes everything can go in the dryer when it can’t! Recipe for disaster!

2: when your housemates use your brand new Tefal frypan and scratch the s*#t out of it!

3: when your housemate gets up early on a Sunday morning and proceeds to talk on the phone at full volume right outside your bedroom door.

4: when your housemate TELLS you people are coming to stay for a while, they don’t ask if it’s ok.. Or they say so and so is coming from this date to this date… i hope that’s ok! Like i have a choice!

5: when your housemate uses kitchen scissors I bought for cutting things in the bathroom, probably his hair… god knows!

I shudder when i think about it.. yes it’s Sam again… Up to his old tricks… For some reason Sam thinks its totally acceptable to cut his fingernails and toenails outside the front door. We have an undercover section with seats outside our front door, where people sometimes sit. Sam goes outside, sits on the chair and cuts his fingernails and toenails and just leaves them there all over the ground! Ewww, on numerous occasions I have gone outside only to greeted by his offcuts. It really makes me sick! And he just went outside and did it! argh!!!

Utorrent…. the bain of my existence….
Good old Sam is up to his tricks again… this time i find out he has been downloading copious amounts of movies and god knows what else using good old Utorrent! 8 Days into our new cap i find our internet connection to be slow so i call up our internet service provider and what do they tell me??? That we are over our cap!!! 8 days after it started..so we have to endure dial-up speed ’til next month! Stupid Sam didn’t know about uploading.. it turns out not only had he been downloading, people had been uploading heaps from his computer as he left Utorrent open! Arghh.. don’t even start me!

Words really can’t explain!

This morning we found out that we have an rental inspection tomorrow. Luckily i snooped at a letter on the kitchen bench and saw the notice from the agent, as nobody else had read it. So tonight we all get home from work, and as per usual Sam is sitting at the computer typing like a madman. Meg and i start cleaning, Sam doesnt budge from the computer. Meg then asks Sam if he could wipe the surfaces in the bathroom. Sams Response: “i cleaned recently” and he stayed glued to the computer. I then stated that I too had done a clean recently and that it wasnt my turn but that wasnt stopping me lending a hand. I actually stupidly thought he would then get up and help, but no….

this fell on deaf ears….

He stayed at the computer for a bit longer as we cleaned around him (literally!!), he then went to his room, got changed and then went out for the evening.

I honestly dont know why his selfishness continues to surprise me.. but it honestly does!

For example last weekend i mentioned that the kitchen floor was a feral mess as it hadnt been cleaned since i last did it. (god knows why i needed to mention it as it was blatantly obvious) A day or so later he moved the mop and bucket inside, and then they sat in the kitchen for about 4 days, and then were moved outside again… no mopping involved!

Sam is fast becoming my pet hate!

I just got home from work and sat down at the computer, enjoying the fact i have nothing to complain about… haha that didn’t last long. A minute after I sat down, In comes Sam and his 5 year old niece. She then starts bouncing a ball around me as i sit at the computer and then Sam says “Milly is staying tonight”. Not.. “Do you mind if Milly stays tonight?” which is what you’d expect in a share accommodation situation. Sam also recently asked me if his friend, her husband and their 2 young kids could stay for a week… in our small 3 bedroom house with a tiny loungeroom (and they’d sleep in the lounge room). Honestly, i cant believe he’d even ask.. what a nightmare!
